Just watched the interview he did for mwse members zone post match
in watching you can see what a big influence trent has been - every reply to a question was greeted with a "yeah nah" before giving a proper reply!

Good debut by Kelly. Defensively he was fine and hopefully against the Bunnies we'll have more possession so he'll get more attacking opportunities.

Apart from his obvious attacking ability I loved his dummy half runs coming out of trouble.
He looked very strong for such a young lad. Good to have a centre who can diffuse bombs when needed too.

Yeah that was right in front of me i was surprised too but semi already had a fullhead of steam up and BK was not yet in full stride plus there is a pause when he takes the ball.

I don't think there are any problems with Kelly's speed. Not sure what happened there, he may have been gassed from a recent play or from getting to the right side to support DCE?

Semi already had a full head of steam up by the time Kelly got the ball. Kelly had to pace himself to keep behind cherry and receive the pass - which slowed him down and from that point he was never going to have the time to accelerate away from him.

I'm not saying he is faster than Semi, just that he isn't as slow as that play can lead people to believe.

But yes, a very good debut by Kelly. Just a pity he (we) didn't get a win to go along with it.

Semi already had a full head of steam up by the time Kelly got the ball. Kelly had to pace himself to keep behind cherry and receive the pass - which slowed him down and from that point he was never going to have the time to accelerate away from him.

I'm not saying he is faster than Semi, just that he isn't as slow as that play can lead people to believe.

Semi semi is an international and I think Kelly learned a very good lesson he isn't playing Holden Cup anymore but I liked the smile on his face when he had daylight in front of him.

Give Semi a break, he's just trying to prove he's tough enough to hit a bloke in the head, not just a woman!

Yeah the ONLY concern was that for me too... Looked like he was running in slow motion. Good evasion skills and strength but I need to see him in open space a bit more - I really hope he's quicker than he looked

I think you'll be disappointed. He looked slow in the 9's when he got some open space against the Eels. I also think if you watch the video, he clearly got run down and very quickly...DCE timed the pass nicely so he had a full head of steam.

In saying that, Matai had good evasive skills and strength but was slower than a lot of forwards...he is one of the greatest footballers I have ever seen lace a boot so there is hope for Kelly even if he is slow.
