Why is this made out to be a dilemma?

It’s 110% Jake. It’s embarrassing that it has been brought up.

I think Jake’s too emotive to be Captain. Yeah, great to rev the boys up pre-game. But he’d end up losing his nut with the refs.
If Tommy played more than half a season then he would be my pick. But alas….

There are exceptions but teams usually always have their captain on the field... so it depends if Jake continues to play 80 minutes a match.

It depends how many minutes he plays per game next year... Usually you want your captain to always be on the field.

Depending how the raiders finish the season, Fogarty could be the right choice, seems strange to promote a newbie straight in as captain, but he has leadership qualities, a little extra added responsibility might help him stay on the job, give our side a fresh start. I also think Jake can be a little emotive at times, additionally it’s a short term appointment, Jake is Manly but as his game fades, it will be hard to lead a side while your team mates watch their Captains performance sliding or having little impact, additionally I’d say his minutes are set to be reduced. It’s a tough one, in a perfect world you would hand Jake the honour, thing is, the worlds not perfect, I’ll sleep on it and watch what unfolds with the raiders push towards the end of the season, the choice could be a simple one.
