    the cantidates

    BALLIN Matt

    KING Jason

    KITE Brent

    LYON Jamie

    PERRY Josh

    STEWART Brett

    STEWART Glenn

    WATMOUGH Anthony

I would probably think either Choc or Lyon

Seriously, Glenn Stewart would be a good option.

Watmough would be a good option if he wasn't such a cock.

Jamie Lyon if he's going to stay long term. Glenn Stewart would be great as well.

Could the captaincy keep Choc at the club long term?

Glenn Stewart is my pick. He is a leader, rarely makes mistakes, doesnt often give away stupid penalties and never has brain explosions.

Agreed, choc is inconsistent and not respected off the field

Having a quick think about it, Lyon isn't the sort of bloke that would make a captain for me

I think it will come down to 2 people, Brent Kite and Glenn Stewart

Both speak well, are good blokes, and could handle the job. Stewart has made noises about testing the open market next season, so the C could be a little thing to dangle that may keep him with us, and he is also an 80min player

we need an 80 minute play as captain that rules out the props
    i would go one of
    Choc
    Gift
    Ballin
or even one of the halves

Kite would seem the obvious choice, and if it improved his form I'd be all for it. However I think most people are on the money here with the Glen Stewart call, he seems like the one I'd be most happy with.

Give it to Kite to sharpen him up.

Ballin will be captain one day.
