Whilst Soward is a sook of the highest order, it is still sad to see him not afforded a Farewell after years of service to Saints.

The drunks seem to get second chances galore, but any other temperament is not seen to be redeemable :huh:

Soward is one of the few players who used to genuinely terrify me when he got the ball against a broken defensive line. The only other is Matt Bowen. But Soward just never ran the ball!! The times he did, his acceleration over 10-20m was extraordinary.

I just feel we will never see the best of Soward, and no matter what you think of him, I actually think that's sad.

I liked when Soward would get his sook on. He'd lift his head gear high on his head like a top hat and stamp his little feet. His facial expressions would closely resemble a tadpole that has swum full throttle into a pool of salt water.
