The NFL are putting monies aside to pay for players injured with concussion.
"The American National Football League (NFL) has reached a landmark settlement which could see it pay around $1 billion to both former and current players;"

The NRL is only just opening its eyes to this issue. They are well behind the 8 ball.

And they say that helmets make little difference because it's the brain being traumatized by the impacts from the tackles that are causing the damage.
