1. We were the worst defensive outfit in the comp. Under Des we were one of the best defensive teams in the comp. He won't settle for poor defence.

2. The team needs a cultural/attitude adjustment. He will get players to buy in, bleed for manly or leave. That Gladstone incident won't happen under Des.

Finally, I think the fans need this. They have felt like the club has ignored them and with des and now crusher back,the fans are excited.

Well said.... even if Des does happen to be slightly behind the game (which I don't actually believe will be the case), we are already ahead of where we have been. Des will get the passion, desire and heart back in the jersey. That in itself will win us games. We have enough exciting quality players to score points, and the change in attitude will show in defence. Hasler played under Fulton in one of the best defensive club sides of all time.... he knows what's required and he won't accept any excuses from the playing group.

Hasler will focus on defence which is exactly what this team needs. I think we all know that with a bit of structure, this team can score plenty of points. If Des provides a bit of structure in attack and adds some starch in defence then that will go a long way in getting back to finals footy.
