Dave Smith and the NRL are at it again

The NRL said today it will donate the proceeds from the fine paid by Sharks skipper Paul Gallen to two charities.

Gallen has until 5pm today to appeal against the fine imposed for comments he made on social media.

So they've (a) tried to justify their gross overreaction by using a charity, and (b) attempted to guilt trip Gallen out of an appeal.
