He catches it ok, just has a case of the Herschelles in trying to keep in it his grasp

Looked ok in a couple of his runs

ran it much better tonight, shame that his hands are causing him grief. Seeing King, Glenn and Stevie on the bench is pretty impressive too.

Would think he will drop off the bench when King is back

How good was the Symonds run for the last try?

Pretty sure Gower is playing 2nd row so Rose wouldn't be his replacement

7 hit ups for 67m is a good effort, not worth throwing a line through just yet

Rose would not fit the structure and up tempo style of play both in attack and defence. When King comes back next week Gower will drop back to NSW cup

Yeah Symonds looks the goods. A bit Daniel Gartner like.

Fair comparison. His versatility (centre/second row) at the Roosters always reminded me of Beaver, too. Two pretty good players to emulate:)
As for Gower, he did all right. Thought he ran hard and showed good effort. That fumble in the play the ball was definitely forced but he does need to work on his hands.

Gower bends the line when he runs. pity about his hands, although King has the same problem, along with a couple of penalties in his knapsack.
