DCE KICKING GAME

The best kickers in the game are planning their kick 3 tackles before it's time to kick it and marshall the troops accordingly. Our of the cuff style is making that tough for Chez. Add to that the defence can read where the kick is going super early, the winger on the same side as Chez drops back on the 4th tackle and more often than not catches the ball on the full.

We need another kicking option, even if they're average. If Chez continues to be the only option, opposition will target him and we will continue to see average results from a very good kicker.

Levi controls our ruck speed. If he take the right option and gets us rolling On the front foot we win the ruck and relieve DCEs kick pressure. We have been off because our service isn’t what it should be right now. It hinges on Levi and it’s effecting all of our play. I don’t want to talk bad about him but it’s what’s happening.
Hopefully against the Raiders there is improvement here

Levi has been good in that yes he does give good, clean, crisp service from dummy half. But the problem is that at times on the last, especially when we've been attacking the opposition line, he's been passing it to the wrong player. Passing it to a forward like Jake or Siro is not what is needed and neither is passing it to a flat footed Turbo who is basically there waiting to chase the kick, not to kick it himself.

When Croker came on to replace Levi in the first half on Thursday night suddenly the ball was getting to DCE or Walks 4th and 5th tackles and the quality of their and the teams play rose accordingly.

Does Levi lose count of what tackle it is out there?

Walker should take a leaf out of Jack Whightons book.
Practice, practice, practice and practice his kicking game, especially short kicks. Walker has natural balance and feel when he kicks in open play, so with lots of practise he should get a lot better quickly.

This would then give Manly options either side of the ruck and allow the dummy half to use both of them. Then gets the opposition 2nd guessing.
