Can' believe he is banning the dishlickers. They are their own worst enemy though that industry, full of dodgy characters and even dodgier practices.
Who owns Wenty Park ?? this smells of a developer kickback for some prime real estate if I ever saw it.

I used to know a lot of good people in the industry way back who used to just walk the dogs and train them at the track. Then we're just families who the dogs lived with in the backyard. But the bad eggs ruined it. But this bloke doesn't mind heavily regulating other industries or green lighting the dodgiest of all like casinos when, and with whom it's suits. So maybe there's something in the Wentworth park thing.
And wouldn't it be strange if punters were encouraged to gamble at say.......

Given we have deviated so far away from League already😉, can anyone remember the name of a song in the sixties or seventies that was actually about a dishlicker? It's worth 1 winner to the winner.🙂

You've clearly never been to a dog track. The patrons of these fine venues would never be described as ladies, nor their attire referred to as fancy (unless you class a beanie with a pom pom as extravagant headwear)

I used to be a part owner in a couple of greyhounds. One, Viking, won five times at Wentworth Park. I actually made a seven-minute film called Boxed In that I entered in Tropfest, without success. It should still be on You Tube.
Anyway, I can see both sides of the story. There are many caring people in the industry. However, when our second dog proved to be an errant runner - he'd fight other dogs during a race - the trainer told us he'd been banned from racing in NSW and he'd sent him to a friend in Adelaide.
Naively, we believed him.
We now know what fate befell poor 'Miller'n'Falcon'.
