With the storm winning so far 32-0 over the phins we are now finals bound and guaranteed to be playing finals footy

Worse case we lose both games and finish 8th playing 5th places team away

Would love to see the steelers get up tomorrow, just to emphasise what a goose Kevvie is with that “There is no if here, we’re going to make the finals.”

I suppose at the start of the year we would accept making the 8. There have been a lot of coulda woulda shoulda moments/games and we do have the ability to trouble the very best teams. We need to raise our game every week not just when we THINK it matters

I don’t buy the whole ‘we don’t deserve it’ to be honest.

Look, I’m disgusted as much as everyone else with Thursday’s performance, but the reality is, you can’t win a game when you play with 12 players for almost 40% of the match. Yeah, I get it, we shouldn’t put ourselves in dumb positions where that matters, but the reality is, it does. The NRL is managing the $hit out of these games lately.

We’ve had some shockers too, given up huge leads and been an all round dumb footy team this year. Those Parra, Raiders & Dolphins games still haunt me. Same with the Warriors draw.

But we’ve also improved a fuk load as well. Our biggest defeat was 14 points. That’s not terrible. We’ve had some cracking wins too against the likes of Penrith and the Roosters.

Are we gunna win the premiership? Nup. But we’re still in this thing. At our best, we can beat anyone. We just need to be our best and put our best team on the field.

So fuk oath we deserve to play finals. Bring it on.

Home final still very much up for grabs with wins over Bulldogs without Crichton and the Sharks at Brookie. I’d hope we are up for these games because the team is miles better at home and an away trip in week 1 would likely see our season end there.

Finals are always much more exciting with us in it but I can’t view this season as a success if we bounce out in the first week. Too much talent in this side that have had some pretty quality wins this year, if that is the peak with this current group I’d say the future is pretty bleak given how all-in we’ve gone with this squad.

Losing to the Tigers at this time of year isn’t a team on the way to a premiership, that game has turned us into also runs.

If we can learn to play for the full 80 minutes and not give up big winning margins or allow lower placed team to get a start like the tigers did than we should find ourselves in the top 4 next season.

Its Melbourne year or possibly Canterbury, they are carrying the momentum.

They will get every 50/50 call go there way in the finals , they will get a favourable draw and wouldn't surprise me if they make at least a PF
