Game day March, Sunday 5pm, starting from the Leagues Club

As the title says, there is a game-day march this weekend, starting at 6pm outside the Leagues club. The route will be down Federal Parade, then left down Pine Ave.

We hope to get a great atmosphere going, and we are trying to get at least 200-300 people for the first march.

Everyone is welcome to join in, as long as you are positive with the idea and are willing to get fired up and make some noise. Especially with the current ASADA situation, we hope to get heaps of Manly fans that are fired up to join in.

Good luck with it Cameron, but 5pm is too early for me. I'll be drinking in the Leagues club till about 6pm before heading over to the ground.

Hope it all goes well, but I will be marching to the bar at the leagues club at about 5 pm.

A-League Western Sydney do this at the moment its a pretty awsume and imposing sight . They supporters marched to Blue Toungue stadium the other week in their thousands.

After a fair point made my Jono, The march will now go down Federal Parade, before turning left going down Pine Ave. And also now starting at 6pm

Don't disturb the locals, a lot of nimbys down Brookvale way who don't like noise.

Not sure, I didn't get to the Leagues Club until 5.15 PM so I must have missed it.

I think this is a good concept, but I feel the timings might have to be adjusted a little.

Many possible "Marchers" would be in the Leagues Club and just choose to go across a little later.

For the odd game I get to down there I'll always meet up with MWTS mates in the Club, and lets say for example it's a 7.30pm game not actually leave the club to about 7.00pm.

You might get caught with room if it's a huge game (ie like a Storm or Bulldogs game) but rarely would you have a problem.

Go too early and many will decide against it, just my opinion of course!!

Sorry guys, yes the march was cancelled. I'm sure I did make a post here, but it must not have gone through.

I was on the hill during the game, talking to a few blokes.

Anyway, me and a couple of other people were looking at perhaps the first march being in Round 7, against the Bunnies at Brookvale. Being a bigger crowd, hopefully we get some more interest.

With starting times, plans are to be inside the ground before the boys come out to warm up.

KE for 2 reasons

1. under 20's are pretty poor in skill and not really showing much of our reserves. ie very few go straight from 20's to 1st grade. Plenty of the good ones get pinched by other teams in between anyway

2. The drinks and food are far better priced and tasting at the club

I agree with the standard of the 20s, I don't watch a lot of it tbh. Personally though when i do get the chance to go I like to make the most of it and see all games
