Garrick

Can anyone explain why he decides to run straight at Teddy a metre out from the try line in wet weather? We played terrible but we also blew some easy chances 🤦‍♂️
Boggles the mind. On the wide shot I was saying ‘we got them, guaranteed try, this is too easy’, then the camera changes to the close up view and it’s like ‘how the **** did 2 Roosters players get to him and manage to stop him from scoring?’

Yeah he should have slid into the corner in those conditions.

I'm not calling it an outright butchered try, but I can't help thinking he would have gotten there if he just went for the corner.

I just watched that. Agree Garrick totally butchered that try.
If he just slid into the cnr, easy try.
I can only assume he tried to be smart and go inside Teddy so he could get an easier chance at kicking the goal. Except Teddy held his line and Garrick ran straight into him.
I assume being up 8 or 10 nil might have put a totally different perspective on the game?

I think the first disallowed try was more significant. Garrick scores & it’s called back for a bull$hit forward pass! We would have been up 8 or 10 zip!

I am away atm and Kayo kindly stop me watching my subscription if overseas, so haven't seen the match.
So we bombed another try in the first half.
Sounds like we could have been up 16 nil or something

Garrick scored the first try but was disallowed for a forward pass that wasn’t forward. We scored our second try after & could have been up by 10 zip!

Some might not like this but given young GrassHoppa's lack of form recently (other than his tackle on Xavier Coates, what's he done lately??), I'd honestly be leaving Garrick on the wing and playing Tommy Talau at centre.

If that means Hopoate gets dropped either to the bench or Blacktown, so be it.

Id give him a week break after that knee he took to the head. He came back on but he didn’t look right all game after that IMO, was a heavy blow. Talau also deserves a chance.
