Gates opening times at Brookie

Why do the Hill gates open one hours after the main gates?
Is this just a money-saving measure? If so, how much are we really saving? $100, $200....
When there is a big crowd, such as against Doesn'tmatta and the upcoming Newcastle, then there is a large bank up of patrons waiting to gain entry.
Surely we are professional enough to open all gates before the preliminary match starts.

I asked this at ANZ once, and it is a money issue as they need the Security staff to check the bags :banghead:

Ridiculous 21st century problem to protect us from ourselves 😕

Topical.

We walked from the club to the ground last home match vs the Eels.

My old man struggles at the best of times with his knees.
Why the fk are we making old blokes walk to the diagonally opposite end of the stadium to enter early enough to watch the Flegg, when we could simply open all gates.
There were 3 or 4 guards along the fence next to the entry anyway to let catering staff in and out of the access gate next to the entry.

Madness, but anything to save a $.

*edited to add

This is the same ground that refused to let the kids bring a box of Pizza shapes into the ground a few years ago, after a 4 hour drive from the ACT to watch a game....we are working from a low base of common sense here.
