Easts rebranded to the Sydney Roosters. It went alright for them.

Did it? What difference did it make apart from the name? And everyone still calls them "Easts" anyway...even players and fans who weren't even born when they changed the name back in the mid-90s.
Plus, they have not expanded their area at all...no-one calls them "Sydney", or considers that they represent any area outside the eastern suburbs, much less the entire city...
