Happy Api

I think he is one of the form hookers in the competition and he got a really good rap in the Tele today (not that the Tele is anything to really go by but people are standing up and noticing him). I love that pass to Tom T to put him into space yesterday for our first try. He has a good combination with Tom and I remember Api putting him into space with a lovely inside ball last year against the Dogs.

I think you and I are the biggest fans of Api on the forum! I love the guy...I don't know what it is about him...maybe it's his Toovey like courage.
And me, I've always rated Api and never bagged him. His work ethic is up there with the best.

He's a great little player. plays hard is quick can kick and can put on a shot. His passing has improved out of sight his defense needs a little work but he is a good player. I'm happy with api

I'm the first to admit that I have been critical of Api's dummy half passing. Never questioned his heart, enthusiasm or commitment, but his passing was sub-par and I think if most of us were being honest we'd admit that.

However, it has improved over the past 3 weeks and like our halves he seems to be benefiting from a forward pack that is winning. He still has a way to go IMO because its something he needs to do consistently, but if he does continue the way he has been lately I would have no issue with him being our #9.

His passing is still really ordinary but at least it's not costing us at the moment. I'm very happy to forgive the passing if everything else is working out and the team can handle the less crisp dummy half service.

I have said before that we won't win a premiership with Api at 9, but what I didn't take into consideration when I said that was the entire team lifting.

Still not happy with his passing game, he really had to force himself to pass left to right but he has improved out of sight since last year and can see what he brings to the team.

His passing has improved. But still a ways to go. Our players are still having to reach and slow down. Too many balls just behind, up near heads. But yes balls hitting the ground. Completely missing a player or thrown at feet have stopped.

He's almost first grade.

What i did notice was the roosters started to get a roll on midway through the 2nd half and then they said Api had gone off as he had a burner.

I found myself hoping he would come straight back on to tighten our defence in the middle.

It was then that i noticed how much we do need him.

Hopefully his passing gets a bit crisper but he adds value to the team and i'm very happy to have him.
