Haumole to the middle?

What are people's thoughts on moving Haumole to be our main prop? I feel like he's the alpha that could be better utilised to help our needs. I get that we lose something on our edges but I reckon we should be playing more through the middle anyway. He would be winding up for hit ups, and would be very effective over the advantage line. We desperately need to transform our engine room and we probably won't find that top line prop needed.

Also, considering Choc is already amongst things in the club at the moment, maybe he could specialise in helping guys like Talau and Schoupp evolve into mobile and aggressive edge forwards in the mould that Choc used to play.

Then guys like Navale, Konz, Hart could develop into that fit and agile smaller type of middle that would compliment the bigger guys in Paseka, Ola'akautu, and Bullemor.

Is this something Seibold should be considering moving forward?

I don’t think so. For three reasons:
1. He is the primary point of attack on the right edge and not just when he gets the ball, but when he attracts defenders to free up outside men, e.g. couple of tries he had an impact on against Penrith.

2. he will fatigue and that’ll nullify his impact. He already has a pretty modest workrate. I think he is an explosive type that needs a breather to be devastating with the ball. In the middle, he’ll be a hit up merchant and little more.

3. We already have a thin cupboard of edge forwards at the club. Someone has to take his position and I can’t think of one player that would be able to fill it without becoming a serious defensive target for opposition play makers.

Haumole and Viliame Kikau are mobile enough to suck in extra defenders out wide. It's a waste on their best abilities in the middle (Issiah Yeo is the big motor exception)
he's and edge player
