Hmmmm...

They not long signed contract extensions, whare did anyway and think hiku has 2 years to come. We couldn't fit them into our cap unless its the dreaded back ended.

Whare is signed until the end of this season only. Word around town was that we wanted to get him this year. If Brian Kelly and Brad Parker fulfill their potential then Hiku would be excess to requirements.

Yer i think manly will sit on their hands here and see how these young fellows go . If they get some game time this year , they will be better for the run and could prove assets in 18 .

I would still love to get whare back. Such a good solid player in attack and defence.

Wouldn't bother with hiku. This brian kelly could turn into a real star. He will have to work on his defence as he matures but far out he has unbelievable footwork and knows how to get across the line

Hiku and Whare were both class players. Not champions but solid every time they played for us.

Tell you who else is solid. Cheyse Blair. Playing in a great team can make you look good. We have let both these blokes go because we were 'Lyon and Mataied' for a few years then we signed Walker with no space for him and had to push both hiku and Gutho out. Mostly for Tapau but a bit for Walker.

Having said all this. Dylan Walker is the best centre in the game after the retirement of Lyon and Hodges and playing him at 6 so we had him locked away this year and those to come was a terrible move but will pay dividends this year and for many to follow.

Yep Dylan seems like a real nice kid and he plays with a bit of passion too. Haven't seen many here take any shots at him for his onfield efforts. His electrifying pace wasn't seen much last year but on the back of a big mobile forward pack and a quality halves pairing this kid could be an absolute superstar for us for many years to come. Go Dylan and go Manly!!!!

Dylan, like any player, has a couple of things to work on - namely his defence and knowing when to set-up his winger rather than go himself (which he does too often). If he can improve these two areas he will be the dominant centre of the competition.

His speed is excellent, both off the mark and over distance - he can get through gaps other players don't even see. I hope he has a blinder this year.
