To me the unique Manly culture was born in the 70s, with Arko as the sire.

Buying the RIGHT players.
Reilly, O'Neill, Branighan, and subsequent signings but these 3 set the tone.... toughness and skill.
Our purchases from that point were based on speed or skill.
Add to that a once in a generation crop of juniors who became internationals......
And the result ?
A win at all cost attitude and a DNA that netted us 4 premierships in that decade and one per ever since.
