I think it's a good move ... what's the difference these days anyway?

I think it could be a Manly thing too with AFB, Jake and Marty rotating with a tackling machine 13? What do people think??

Bad move in my opinion ... he is too small without enough go forward ... his best runs are after a big popper dents the line and he can either hit it up or ball play ..... he is too skillful to use as a meat head prop ..

Having said that he is a good defender and that part of his game won't change ...

They reported this on NRL 360 or NRL Tonight earlier in the week - it seems to have legs given the bench they have picked. If the weather is wet they will likely play more up the middle, where a few little deft passes from Jake could see some points come in what will likely be a lower scoring game. I don't think he will start there, but will likely move there once the bench rotation kicks in.

I would like to see Jake cone on after 20min. I agree with @Woodsie and @HappilyManly that he is most effective when the big boppers are out of the way.

Because he is so good they can afford to start him and he will hold his own. But he won’t dominate like he could.

Jake needs to be in a ball playing role not just taking the hit up. If this move happens as being reported it almost looks as though Fittler has recognized he’s made a balls up not taking another prop in - which he has. In saying that if there’s one player who won’t let this side down in any position it’s Jakey.

Because he is so good they can afford to start him and he will hold his own. But he won’t dominate like he could.

I’d like to see him selected by the blues and paid the fee, but get no game time. Same for Tom and cherry (but for qld)
