Make Manly Great Again #Hasler2019
cant say I gave footy
The time of day over the off season so if this has been discussed feel
Free to roast me.

But I noticed a post on Facebook by the mighty Redcliffe Dolphins with a team list for their first trial
Last night.

While I was aware the phins has signed Cameron Cullen from
Manly I saw that Jamil Hoppa was also playing in the back row. Pretty
Sad a guy with so much talent never made it to the NRL bit of a waste really.

I watched a lot of lodge last year playing for the Phins and he was a class a head of the rest in Qld cup.

I think he will kill it this year
For the drongos

Both were signed by Redcliffe in December

Spare a thought for the poor bloke. As much as he'd like to, he can't afford to pay his victims.

It's only a matter of time before Toddy organised a testimonial for him.

By the way, according to the article he is playing for less than the minimum wage...

Just a down on his luck Aussie Battler!! Surprised the Broncos haven't organised a feature on ACA and had Tracey Grimshaw endorse a go fund me campaign for the poor bloke!!

"WE are not in the habit of telling players how to spend their money." was Greenburg's quote... WTF!!! This massive turd-burglar owes his victims money in a civil law settlement...it's not like they're suggesting he buys cheaper hookers or stops gambling, FFS!

Cam you have been missed big fella. Just because the club might have blocked you, is no excuse to not be playing with tails my man. What's doing?

Lol. Yea I don’t think that blow in from the Tigers Wayne cousins liked what I tweeted about the teams performance under Barrett in 2011. Ah well they still
Don’t mind taking my money for membership each month.

As for not bieng here as much I guess I’m
Just not as engaged with the club as
I once was. Haven’t been to
A Sydney game since 2014. Rather save
My cash for my trips overseas. Been going away twice
A year. Off to Thailand Saturday 😀

Pretty sure his contract was upgraded during the season and he is now paying the victims.
Not that that changes anything in regards to his character.

Bring him home! My guess he will go to the dogs
I've been a fan of Jamil on the football field for a few years now and hoped he would get a game here and there for us. In 2018 he has matured as a footy player and I will be surprised if he isn't in an NRL list in 2019. He has worked his way back.

He's still too little. He's still too slow. But he sure is a work horse in the forward pack.

Ours team can sure find a place for one of those.

‘I’m worth the gamble': Hopoate

Jamil Hopoate called this column on Thursday with a simple message: “I want to let clubs know that I am worth the gamble.”

Last Friday he received the green light from the NRL integrity unit to resume his career. He spent 10 months in jail after an assault. Last year he played for Redcliffe in the Queensland Cup and won the lock-of-the-year award.

“I have grown up a lot, and I needed to,” he said. “I was young and dumb, and a bad drunk.

‘I now have a reason to be a better person. My daughter is four and I need to show her a good life and to be a good role model for her. I’ve done enough bad.”

He said that spending time in Queensland was necessary.

“It’s taken me time to learn how to live with being a Hopoate,” he said. “When I grew up it was very confusing. I would see this man [his father, John] in the media and the way that people talked about him, and then I would see a completely different man at home, and in some way it’s the same now. I had to leave home to get out of the shadow of my dad and my brother, Will [Bulldogs fullback]. I had to become my own man and I believe I am that now.’’
