can somebody please tell me why we did not resign Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and let the bloody stupid crap roosters get him.

It’s easy, The rorters seem to be able to fit every player under the salary cap so in other words they offered him more money than what Manly did.

He obviously has gone to his retirement fund and most likely will end up like rest of the dead beats at the Rorters, i.e. like O’Meley, Mason and Myles to mention just a few

The Roosters paid him overs and Manly could not match the offer. He was told to take the money and go, reluctantly of course. It was big money for someone who has yet to perform at the top level.

well that very dissapointing but money talks and bull**** walks i suppose and whats happening with cuthbertson why doesnt he get much game time he is the offload specialist he is  better than georgie easy and would somebody please tell kite to stop slowing down and doing a stupid little step every time he runs it up the big girl he is so overated we should trade him and finally when is the gun stewert back from injury?

my word it is MB. :)

doesn't change the fact that this is about the 45th thime this same subject has been done to death,

And without any input from Dan or MAtas either ;)

I read ya Fro. The price of forums is eternal vigilence, something like that. I just have too much time on my hands and there is no news on the Eagles so it is a slow week. :)

Doesn't anyone remember we signed Hoppa Jnr and T Williams for a large sum of money before Hoppa touched NRL (still hasn't) and Williams played about 2 games for the Eels?

I dont really see the difference.

I'm not too concerned about losing him. I wouldn't be suprised if he turns into another Groom like loss. Overrated and vanishes very quickly.

The Roosters like overrated forwards.

George Rose is an impact player and he is starting to show it and more and more promise. We showed massive faith in him when he had his injury and its starting to look like he hasnt forgotten that, he will be a solid Manly boy for now.

Cuthbo is a good player, but he hasn't gotten any better over the past 2 years. I think he has reached his peak, at least at this club and will probably benefit from another coach for a while. He has an offload, but he doesn't have a selective offload, he just pops it out the back sometimes and we often lose ground.

I really like Cuthbo when he was playing in reserves and for his first few games he showed a lot of promise, but not enough I am afraid, Sad to see him go though, but I understand the decision

Good points Dan especially on Rose.  JWH doesn't impress me.  He misses tackles and comes up with shoulder charges which sometimes work and sometimes don't.  Can't really afford players who don't go hard into a tackle, and that's both JWH and Cuthbo problem.  Unfortunately bMartin23 is right about Kite though.  Just what is his problem?

Yeah JWH hasn't shown me too much so far

The man I have my eye on still is Darcy Lussick, he looks the goods the times I have seen him

My mail is the Roosters are paying him $145k for 2010 & $175 for 2011. I also understand that he is already on more than $100k.

I have always had my doubts about JWH. The early and sometimes continuing hype was that he is Sonny Bill Williams-type of player.

I don't really see it. For the modern game he seems somewhat cumbersome, ullike an athlete like SBW. Maybe the triple-barrelled name is the main similarity.

I think JWH and Cuthbo both lack a bit of mobility to be backrowers but haven't really the size to make a huge impact as frontrowers.

Mind you JWH played well against the Raiders and Cuthbo, as I have said I like watching, for his occasional touches of skill. He may yet be a late (30s) bloomer as some frontrowers are.
