Are this years jerseys made out of a different material than they have been? The reason I ask is that I noticed that during the Toyota Cup and the main game that they appeared to rip easily. Didn't notice the jerseys ripping last year!

New manufacturer of jerseys this year in ISC. ISC must be cutting costs because I notice that not only are our jerseys ripping, so are Cronulla's (as well as numbers falling off) and Canberra's. I also notice that ISC has lost the contract to supply the Super 14 jerseys for the Australian Clubs. Tahs have gone back to Canterbury, and Reds and Brumbies are KooGaa now.

A lot of teams are having the same issue with ripped jerseys from what i can see.

FYI They aren't the same jerseys we by in merchandising shops. The player ones breath much better. Therefore easier to rip.

I'd also say the tight fitting nature of the jerseys are also a reason.  And could even be where the stitching lies too.  Fashion technicalities aside, i wouldn't have a clue.

My only ISC related question is this - i wonder if those invisible grips around the chest actually work or not.  If so, start glueing them onto Choc's hands

The players jerseys are partly made out of the same material as car chamois. Its more to do with keeping the players hands dry.
