Kicks for Goal in GF

like was mentioned about Lyon recently, Reynolds marks were way off line for his try and G Burgess' try...then S Burgess kicks for the side line on Inglis try....i am sure Inglis was at least a few metres in, if not 5..

what is going on with with Kick for goal marks these days?

I've noticed the same thing. Don't the touchies stand on the spot ?
Strange that you would reduce the angle like that. Although maybe they were away the day geometry was taught in Maths.
