Laying in the ruck

So Newcastle is really good at it apparently and Melbourne were better at it last week. Another team we played a couple of weeks ago did it to. It pisses me off because it' a deliberate ploy to slow down the play the ball and it is never penalised. Has anyone else noticed it happening more lately?

Yep, I've been noticing this too. It's no coincidence how often it happens on tackle 5, making it that little bit more difficult for the dummy half to pick up the ball and get it to the kicker.

Ballin needs to learn the Michael Ennis over exaggerated "tangle up and fall over opposition player in the ruck" play. Or the slightly more difficult manouver of intentionally accidently passing the ball into said player laying in ruck. Simply putting your hands up constantly and doing the Rio Jesus dance doesn't cut it.

The outside backs where offside all game, the refs are blind. Leaving before foot on ball.

Watch the replay of last nights game and have a look at Buhrer in the very first tackle. Sits on the tackled Newcastle guy looking at the ref for three seconds before he gets off.

Manly were lucky not to be penalised a lot more last night for this sort of thing.
