From the Manly Sea Eagles website, here is the ' Injury Update: Taniela Paseka' released on Tuesday, 25 March 2025:

Sea Eagles prop Taniela Paseka has undergone surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon.

The 27-year-old suffered the injury midway through the first half of Sunday night’s Round 3 victory over the Raiders.

Taniela is aiming to be available to play in Round 25 this season following a 16–20-week recovery period.

From the 'NRL 2025, Injuries, Suspension Return Dates, Casualty Ward and Key Information for the 2025 NRL Telstra Premiership Season' web page, Here is the Latest NRL Injured or Unavailable Update:

* * * (Updated: Tuesday, 27 May 2025) * * *

Manly superstar Tom Trbojevic will join brother Jake and prop Siua Taukeiaho on the sidelines after being ruled out of Saturday’s Round 13 match against the Broncos at 4 Pines Park.

'Turbo' has been playing with a corked thigh in recent weeks and aggravated the injury in last Friday’s loss to the Eels. The club announced in a statement that it was taking a conservative approach and would rest their star fullback this weekend.

Taukeiaho picked up a minor calf strain against the Eels and he too is expected to miss just the one week.

Jake Trbojevic will also sit out Saturday’s match against the Broncos as he continues to follow NRL concussion protocol.
Speaking ahead of Round 12, Sea Eagles coach Anthony Seibold said that
Trbojevic would be given all the time he needs to recover from his second concussion in the space of a month.

"We need to be conservative with
Jake, we don't want to put him out there too early. We'll be guided by how he feels but his welfare is by far the most important thing," Seibold said.

I’m cringing just thinking about it, first time back at Brookie in 10 years and we’ll probably play them back into form, Mamm will have a field day through the middle, Walsh will no doubt join in, the cherry however will be our pack v theirs………can’t wait……and no I don’t think we’ll probably win this one……

I'd imagine they will put 50 on us.

Or we could put 50 on them.

Two very inconsistent sides, with massive internal issues, capable of big scores on their day.

Hey Siebold how about you earn your money and get stuck into some of these imposters you pick each week and then expect CONSISTENCY. Sick and tired of your pressers saying each week that you are proud of them, WELL WE ARE NOT 😡
It is your job to have these guys motivated to give 100% plus EVERY week, not just when they feel like it. If you can't do it then go away and coach something else.

Watching the presser this week, there was no mention what-so-ever of him being proud. The only things tat he mentioned was that he was disappointed and frustrated and the team looked disjointed, lacked cohesion and consistency in their performance.

I just want to know, who's injured and when can we expect players back from injury. The rest, heard it all before.

Manly favourites again!
(god only knows what flaky info the Bookies are relying on. Clearly haven't been reading the Silvertails experts assessments) @:D

Walsh won’t be back is my thoughts. Also their two best forwards backing up from origin, one who is 50/50 to even play in Hass. Add to that 90% of their team has never played at Brookie and you can see how we are favourites. They also have bigger issues than us internally. Those guys ain’t putting in for Madge.

They have Walsh and Cobbo available
Hunt is out for another 2 weeks

Home Grounds are an advantage . Power to us

As you say and it is obvious they do have issues . They are a quality team but they are not putting in for their coach . Madge was brought in to add discipline , resilience and consistency and so far he has failed to achieve this and is underachieving with a quality Roster

Both coaches have another opportunity to turn their teams season around .
The team that wins this game will not be all about the Teams line up
The team that wins this game will be all about which coach can get his team up for the challenge

Has he ever dropped anyone?
Simpkin, multiple times. Thats the only one I can think of.
You have to have a regular position before you can be counted as 'dropped' from it.
Simpkin was a only a replacement who didn't hold his spot, same thing happened plenty of times with the likes of Keppie, Toff, and Boyle for example

True that not too many that were given a spot to begin with have been dropped (Paulo and Parker were) which isn't a shock as teams aim for minimal change to build consistency and teamwork, but he's let plenty go from the club, which amounts to the same thing - including Tuilagai, Harper, Tuipulotu, Foz, Schu, Lawton, Keppie
