Manly superstar Tom Trbojevic will join brother Jake and prop Siua Taukeiaho on the sidelines after being ruled out of Saturday’s Round 13 match against the Broncos at 4 Pines Park.
'Turbo' has been playing with a corked thigh in recent weeks and aggravated the injury in last Friday’s loss to the Eels. The club announced in a statement that it was taking a conservative approach and would rest their star fullback this weekend.
Taukeiaho picked up a minor calf strain against the Eels and he too is expected to miss just the one week.
Jake Trbojevic will also sit out Saturday’s match against the Broncos as he continues to follow NRL concussion protocol.
Speaking ahead of Round 12, Sea Eagles coach Anthony Seibold said that Trbojevic would be given all the time he needs to recover from his second concussion in the space of a month.
"We need to be conservative with Jake, we don't want to put him out there too early. We'll be guided by how he feels but his welfare is by far the most important thing," Seibold said.
