Interesting to watch. Manly running 2nd on the ladder on 16 pts and St George 4th on 15 pts. Manly went into the match without starting hooker Hollingsworth who was a late call up to the NRL team.
The ref audio makes the game and you wonder sometimes how they keep up.
St George up 0-20 at half time and things not working well for Manly. Kane Cleal brought into the match to replace Hollingsworth and was constantly chatted to by the ref. Listen to Gorrell (St George) accusing the ref of having money on Manly at the 5:30 mark.
To keep in perspective of the progress of the game, the approximate match times of tries scored were, StG 18min, StG 26min, StG 32 min, StG 39min, MW 62min, 69min, 75min, 78min.
The crowd build up during the 2nd half was noticeable and I am sure helped the Manly players.
Some noteable players running around, DCE's uncle, JP Cherry, Kane Cleal, Paul Stephenson and forum favourite of the time, Phil Morwood and one of my favourites, Mitch Creary, and for St George, Andrew Frew and Aaron Gorrell.
