As some of you will have noticed the numbers travelling to away games has been growing at a rapid rate over the years and the players have commented many times on how appreciative they are for the large and vocal support that gets behind them at away grounds.
I was at the NRL member’s forum recently and was surprised at the number of other team’s supporters that commented on our support and the numbers who travel and the support we give our team.
There has also been a gradual increase in the number of people that now travel to games on the Supportahs bus from the Leagues Club and it’s great that we are building a good group of people traveling together on the bus, many of whom may not ordinarily have got to away games as they had no one to travel with or it was deemed “too hard†or “too expensiveâ€Â
The bus is generally scheduled to arrive at the away venue around half time of the Toyota Cup game for those that like to see some of that game but there are those that choose to meet others at pre-arranged venues for a catch up and pre-game feed or drink as appropriate so you have either option to chose from when traveling by the supporters bus
For 2010 season there the following trips are planned
Round 1 Monday 15th March Wests Tigers
Round 2 Sunday 21st March Parramatta Eels Â
Round 8 April 30 - May 2 South Sydney Rabbitohs
Round 16 June 25 - 28 Penrith Panthers Â
Round 19 July 16 - 19 Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks
Round 23 August 13 - 16 St George-Illawarra Dragons (Will depend on venue)
Round 25 August 27 - 30 Sydney Roosters
Supporters bus membership at $60 (for Sea Eagles members) makes for excellent value at around $10 return for each of the games above and is a great way to get to the game.
