After sme sh1thouse performances it seems that Martyn and Hayden may lose their place.

I think youll find Katich to open, Watson to come in as all rounder.

Hodge for Martyn and Clarke to 4 - prob his rightful place.

Martyn's performance make Jason King look like BK. He is just hopeless and cant offer anything.

Actually come to think of it, the selectors wont drop him like usual, he will score a 50 and nothing till the end of summer.

Like I said in the other thread, we have two specialist openers in form in Jaques and Hussey, they should be used. I'd go with Hussey just because he's been in and around the Austrailan team for a while now.

If an all rounder is needed, then Symonds is the man to go to, he's also in form. He's avergaing 30 odd with the ball and about 70 with the bat for Lancashire. He'll also lift the fiedling standards up.

With only one game left they have to chose guys in form, Hodge has done SFA in the tour matches and Watson has done SFA for Hampshire since he got there.

I'd go with
Hussey
Langer
Ponting
Clarke
Katich
Symonds
Gilchrist
Warne
Lee
McGrath
Tait/MacGill depending on the pitch.

In saying that, there isn't much doubt, Hayden and especially Martyn will live to play another day. :wall: Hopefully they rub everyones nose in it.

symonds should of been in the selecters minds from the one day serious .. i mean thats why england picked pieterson and look what he did, symonds also last year picked up most of hes one day player of the year votes from england pitches and this year he proved once again he plays well on them ..why he hasnt been metioned is beyond me.
