Reading in the SMH that Matt Cross will be pushing to be fit for the begining of next season. Should be a good buy but a knee injury could be a problem all season.

Surely a whole of season would be enough to fix a knee injury.

Some reports mention a broken leg, others are talking about cruciate problems. Either way, a long hard rehabilitation but he will recover.

Ryan, players like Robbo (100 games without a break), Ben Kennedy and Glenn Hall are more the rule than the exception.

Dunno dude - don't know if I'm too impressed taking on a guy that has just done his knee or worse cruciate.

Yes, rescind his contract if we have the ability. We have:-

    Perry
    Kite
    King
    Rose

    as our prop rotation;

    Watmough
    Bailey
    Stewart
    Rodney
    Gulovou

then potentially one or two NYC players able to step up,

why waste time and/or energy + money re-habbilitating a 29 year old toiler who has struggled to remain in 1st grade throughout his whole career?

Can't argue with that, it will come down to the contract. I assume there is some medical fitness condition in player contracts these days, but that is a guess. I know there was talk of Bani needing to pass a medical before the cows would take him.

Beat me to it kiwi. We need him for depth, can't rely on our NYC props. Potential does not always cut it in the nrl.

And Mark Bryant as well as he was a reserve grader with little chance of making firsts at canberra.

Because obviously you have to have played 150 NRL games to have an opinion.
