Good article.

When he returns, he will become the best ever team manager for Manly.

I always liked Zorba, as quirky and passionate as he was. However, Beaver would be the best ever manager, for any team ....ever .... and give our club such a huge advantage.

"He's still got a house in Manly," he said. "It's part of his fibre."......It'd be great to see him back at the club in some capacity.

Surely Beaver would have to hold the record for the most 1st grade games in league - we all know how gracious he was by not beating Lamb's record, but he would have to have played the most combined games in NRL/NSWRL/ARL/ESL history.

Nowhere near it. Some crazy old pommy guys from the 20's or 30's (or something?) have stupid numbers against their names.

Maybe Beav can be the most of the modern era.

Kevin Sinfeld - Leeds Captain is just over 400 with plenty of years in him yet.
'King' Keiron Cunningham - retired a couple seasons ago on 500 for Saints
Danny McGuire - already on 300+ same Kevin Sinfeld.
