I was wondering if the MVP votes were going to get a miss......very hard to come up with a 3,2,1 after that. Anyway.....

        3 - Leary
        2 - Foran
        1 - Jake

Leary was our best forward tonight, with Horo not far behind. Other than not hitting Snake with the pass that could have seen us move within 4 points, Foran was ok. His 18 runs for 166 metres was the most from any Manly player by a LONG way tonight (Leary was next best with 13 for 107). And Jake continues to impress. 9 runs, 73 metres and 30 tackles off the bench.

3 - Horo (I thought his straight hard running tonight was very good)
2 - Jake T (more game time please Tooves)
1 - DCE (I thought most good work came off his x-factor)

Special mention to Foran. I've bagged him relentlessly for a month or two, but tonight (and admittedly last week) I thought he showed more of the old Kieran we all adored. Straight hard running and some toughness.

          3. Ballin - another tackle to you stop effort
          2. DCE - Tried hard with and without ball, great try setup for snake
          1. Horo - Has been playing with more aggression of late.

its amazing how much pre disposition comes into these things. This time last year Foran would have got 3. Jake could only manage 59m well short of the 100m mark yet he is only getting wraps. Instead forwards like Horo and Leary who made over 100m are getting ridiculed.

There is a reason for blind taste testing

Did anyone else think Jake looked like he was carrying a bit of an injury last night. He didn't seem to running particularly freely. That's maybe why he was off the bench.

              3-Leary.....what a buy he's been.
2-Horo......ran with purpose and bent the line.
1-Ballin.....the guy makes enough tackles for 2 or 3 guys.

DCE was good behind an outgunned pack.

              Voting for Round 13 closed.

              3. DCE
              2. Leary
              1. Jake T

So DCE takes the lead back from Jake T by half a point with Snake in third.
