Players IMO who played well yesterday

Ash Alberts  - look dangerous, found plenty of room
Chris Hicks - like Hicks of 2004, ran hard, made ground
Kylie L - At least had a go and took them on.
BK/Beaver - BK only forward to consistantly break the advantage line, while Beaver at least look dangerous.

IMO opinion the rest were average, forwards were completly out gunned, our play the balls were too slow, our ball controll poor.Time to start looking for 2006, even if we make the 8 we will be cannon fodder in an away semi. The Duck is going and he has been lamentable lately with butter finger efforts in last 2 games - plus the fact that every bomb that goes near him he is out jumped.
He is going therefore we need a replacement - give Taylor ago and see if he measures up.
Terry Hill - he has provided the experience early in the year but is not filling the role required - maybe time to see if Matai can play for a new contract.

Jason King is playing without confidence, when Hecks is back he should be playing in PL for a while.

Unless our forwards start firing up we will struggle to make the 8.  As Monas is the best we have at the moment he must be given time.

Celebrate the 2 points we get for the bye because looking at the draw unless a miracle is worked by Des over the next fortnight it could best the 2 points we get this season.

I hope I am wrong but the Dragons showed the other sides how the make us struggle.

Scary thing is i think you are right and the other teams coaches will adopt this strategy. whats scarier is i dont see Des chaing his strategy

Look at stats from yesterday

Bailey: 32 Tackles 16 Hitups 167m
Ryles: 26 Tackles 22 Hitups 193m

King: 21 Tackles 7 Hitups 63m
Kite: 29 Tackles 13 Hitups 96m

The Saints averaged 9.5m per hit up against us. That tells me that our defensive line is sitting there waiting for the opposition to come to them, giving them a guaranteed 10m per hit up and putting us on the back pedal.

Kings a third man in specialist, while there props where trampling out 5/8, our props where getting smashed by theres

Thank god we have the bye.

The week off should give Dessie enough time to get the cat o' nine tails out and belt the living **** out of the players.

Then time to re-focus and pray that Choc and Hecks are back in time.

Those stats dont suprise me

Kite was dissapointing and has dropped his performance a lot - being our highest paid prop his performances of late have been mediocre as well. Ever since he got done for his knee lifting he appears to have lost his enthusiasm.
