Hi All,

I wanted to let you guys know about a new site I'm working on -- http://www.rugby.io. Essentially, it's a rugby (union / league) fixtures & results site which aims to provide fast and accurate updates using both automation and assistance from the rugby.io community. Currently, we're tracking the Aviva Premiership, Super 15, NRL, and have Rugby World Cup 2011 fixtures ready for updating.

As I rely on the community to help submit result updates, I've made our site's fixtures and results data available for download so that others can use it to power their own projects. The data downloads are pulled real-time, so updates made to the site are immediately available within the data available for download.

We're constantly adding and removing features, so please have a look and drop us feedback if you'd like to see new leagues / competitions added, or features added / changed / or scrapped. :)

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to seeing you over at the http://www.rugby.io site!

-Matt

Cheers mate I'll look at this over the next week or so to see if I can use some of it or add to it. Actually I may have a few secrets I can help you with.

Are you interested in a link exchange?

I like the idea, and the basic page is simple & clear.

Though I dislike the commercial inclusions:
I.e. in the comp titles, e.g. get rid of Investec and Telstra, title them Super Rugby 2011 and National Rugby League (Aust.) 2011 or something.
And re: the grounds, Suncorp Stadium is Lang Park, Ausgrid Stadium is The International Sports Centre, Vodacom Park is Free State Stadium, NIB Stadium is Perth Oval etc.

Hi ssar,

Thanks for the feedback. I'm 110% w/ you on stadiums -- I did realize after entering them into the database that they'd need updating once the sponsor changes, which is a bit of a PITA. I'll get those updated ASAP and will give your idea of stripping league sponsor some thought as well.

......and then the fun begins ;)

ssar, I've updated stadiums and competition/league names to remove the current corporate sponsors. I have to admit this looks more cleaner and is something I should have done from the get-go!

Seaeagle63, I'm going to import Super League 2011 fixtures once I find a good source that contains all (including location/stadium).
