News: Campaign against Mayer makes no sense

"Mayer flew to the Gold Coast early ahead of yesterday's match against the Titans and went out and played a solo round of golf, something he's regularly done this year to clear his mind.......when he turned his phone back on, it exploded into action with calls from sponsors, media and even family members asking if the story was true."

Be interested to know if the timing of the announcement by Delmege was coincidental. Quite fortuitous that the story managed to grow some legs before Mayer could shut it down.
