Steve Matai, who scored twice for Manly, played the entire second half with the use of only one arm after injuring his problematic shoulder.

Well done to Shoulders for getting a couple of meat pies in his 100th game, pity he got hurt. Some of our forwards could take a leaf out of his book in how to bend the line, he was still managing it late in the 2nd half with a busted wing. I hope he stays with us.

He was very very good tonight. He should be coaching the front rowers on how to run straight and try to go through the line instead of passing the ball beforre it and allowing some smaller player to get creamed. Shame on Kite, Perry, King and George. They again played soft. What is wrong with them?

Will Matai be right for next weeks game against Penrith because we will REALLY need him without Lyon.

That shoulder again, maybe that is why Des is reluctant to sign him on for 2-3 more years. With Brett looking up in the air, Wolfman the same and Lyon seemingly showing his injuries again that's 4 of the backline all in doubt. Take your time Des,
