Killer03

Bencher
Ok, not the greatest team (or backline) we played today, but I thought Killer was excellent. His defence was extraordinary and he just looked like he really really wanted it. I've been concerned this year he seems to have aged, but today showed the old classic 'form is temporary, class is permanent'.

As I said in the Game Day thread, early in the game Killer showed what Hiku has yet to learn as a centre - when and how to use the winger outside of him. He used Tom much better than Peta has in the past two weeks and our attack down the right looked a lot better with Killer out there.

Hiku will learn that (hopefully) and provided he is still at Manly will be a good attacking centre in the future. But for now I am fully comfortable with leaving Killer in the centres rather than moving him back to 5/8.

Gees it's not like he was up against world beaters tonight. Sharks backline is possibly the worst in the comp.

In saying that it's still great to have him back.

Killer looked refreshed for sure.

His positional play also freed up Snake to defend in the middle, like he used to.

Straight back in and inspirational immediately, especially in defence. If either Killer or Shoulders left I would be seriously gutted.
