Someone supposedly in the know posted recently on MWSE that toovey was offered the job several months ago and knocked it back.  Too close to the players anyway and nearly impossible to go from water boy to CEO.

Pat Wilson - been there done that no thanks.  Beaver - again too close to the players and hasn't demonstrated any management skills. 

I wonder who the oither 17 applicants are?  Graham Lowe would be one.  Maybe Bob Saunders?  Ray beattie?
