NRL's website and digital network - Clubs asked to contribute $178,000 for the next seven years

NRL and clubs poised for new standoff over $150 million digital venture

The NRL is facing another standoff with clubs, who have been taken aback at a proposal from head office that they contribute a combined $20 million towards the game's $150m digital venture.

On a day of high-powered meetings at League Central there was a surprise for clubs when they were told the NRL would need them to each contribute $178,000 for the next seven years to support the NRL's website and digital network.
