Just noticed that the NSWRL has launched an Amco Cup style Challenge Cup. Only 8 teams involved, one being Blacktown Sea Eagles. $15000 for the winner.
Unfortunately, Blacktown lost in round , 10-20 to the Macquarie Scorpions.
The comp was open to Illawarra, Newcastle and Massey & Sydney Shield teams. Let's see if the comp grows next year. Although the standard may not be that good, it would be good to have a Wednesday night game to watch, again.
The GF is on this Sunday before the City Country match between Macquarie & Concord-Burwood-Glebe Wolves.
