Gutho at halfback...wow!

Jamil dropped to Holden Cup too.

At least Wyong are near the bottom of the ladder with us.

Maybe a much better performance from the boys this week then.

I think with jamil and a couple of others they put him between both teams so they get a taste of playing with big boys without being burnt out.

Last time they met at Brookie our boys should have steamrolled them BUT instead Wyong won the match scoring try's they should never had scored if our boys were awake! Time and time again the sliced through our midfield defensive line like it was butter for easy runaway try's!
The boys need to muscle up and close the huge holes in defense but are going to find it tough without the likes of JLJ (FG), Jake T (broken & dislocated ankle) & Rudolph (broken leg) the latter two who are obviously out for the rest of the season!

Geez that's terrible news on Manaia, as well as Jake T, of course.

Can be a thankless gig, the footballer.

Doing it tough, or the best you can in the lower grades, copping (often justified) criticism and trying to make a go of it...

Then be dealt serious injuries such as that.

Get well soon both men; and good luck to all who do run out this week.

(All in Manly jerseys, that is!)

Ex Knight Zane Tetevano makes his debut for Wyong in the front row alongside Mark O'Meley.
Good test for Sao and Andrews

Holden Cup is actually showing good signs at the moment (and is on a 4 match unbeaten run), but our NSW Cup side is a disgrace. I realise they have a few players out, but that's pathetic against a stand alone side.

Roos V Sea Eagles - VB NSW Cup Rd 17

By Jamie Anderson at Morry Breen Oval
Mon 7th July, 06:00PM

The Wyong Roos posting a comprehensive victory of the Manly Sea Eagles at Morry Breen Oval on Saturday afternoon, and in doing so, kept their finals chances very much alive.

Both sides were fielding understrength sides due to a mix of representative duty, injury and suspension. As a result, a number of players were drawn on from the lower grades, and in Manly’s case, this lack of familiarity within the playing group was evident on the day.

Obviously they were ''lowlights''.

A real lack of effort and intensity, from that vision at least.

Interesting to note that The Dogs are below us on the ladder in reggies...!

So their ''depth'' on a surface level is worse than ours.

Worth a mention folks.

Thanks @Jethro

That's what I thought too :dodgy:

I suppose that it just depends on who's perspective it is. For the Roos, they definitely would be highlights. :-/
