Hi first post and seems appropriate on the best day in Australian racing it be a racing post. For mine Shocking is still being underrated by the racing public - $8 today, I know SYT is an absolute gun but am liking those odds and the fives you can get for the Cup

The only ones getting rich out of a Melbourne carnival are the bookies as usual. My tips have been so bad I just watched the whole day w/o a single bet and a very good move it was! Looking forward to Tuesday when I will definitely be having lots of bets.

Fantastic win by SYT and handled the ground very nicely. Gai would have had instructions to not push Descarado and she always uses the McKinnon as a work out before Tuesday, but he looked pushed towards the line and had nothing on SYT. I am warming to the champ as a genuine possible winner.

The later winners won easily yesterday but only those that could really handle the going. The weather is the killer for such a big day but I see that the forecast has changed to basically scattered showers over the next three days. Hopefully the track is no worse than yesterday. In the cup a lot of the older fancied runners have drawn terribly. Quite possible that it will be slowly run and suit a horse like SYT who could pinch a big break 300 out.
