I have a sneaking suspicion that Maloney may not want to go to the Riff as he would make more moving north. Certainly he was concerned enough not to play for Australia. Geez I’d love to know what’s really going on!

I doubt he left Australia for anything to do with his contract. His manager would not do a deal with Penrith without asking his client if he is even interested in going there in the first place. The Moylan swap wouldn't even get off the ground if Maloney simply said "not interested in going to Penrith".

When players say "I'll leave it up to my manager", that's code for "no comment"...it means the manager is working on the finer details of what the client wants, behind closed doors.
