Overreacting?

I know we a losing our coach but are we all overreacting due to being emotionally gutted at the moment or is the sky really falling?
The Manly Sea Eagles still exist and are the premiers. I'd like to know that it's not all doom and gloom.
Maybe as supporters we've taken a big hit but we need to start rebuilding our faith just as the club has some vital rebuilding to do.

this is where the leadership, that in theory should still exist, should be out , on the front foot, telling the world, and its fans that everything is gonna be ok, and what they are going to do to make it so.

It would be nice to hear something positive from the club. I think a passion igniting letter of reassurance to the fans would be good.

We have an entire year to play out - I don't think they will 'knee-jerk' and respond immediately. There is no doubt there will be developments over the off season. Personally I can see nothing but good by having Tooves coaching, and then lets roll the magician Cliffy into the mix helping out Tooves....... ahhh good days are ahead

Yes, we are overreacting. But If Cleal and some other players leave we are ****ed.

If it is just Des leaving, we will be fine.

agreed, and if they arnt doing that, the only other thing that they should be doing is spending there time working out who wants to go who wants to stay and using all this suddenly available money to keeping our core playing group and staff.

wher eis susan? he made a post about foz and t rex, and he usually seems on the mark.. god i hope foz wants to stay. and i hope crusher does too, he might see this as an opportunity to step outts dessies shadow a bit.

is cliffy fit enough to become the new toovs? whilst toovs becomes the new des. he might not have evn given uo the ciggies yet.

I'd be disappointed if there wasn't any over-reaction. To be honest most of it is just because of this medium. Over the years we have become conditioned to complaining, it what really internet forums were created for. And rule no 1 is, you have to be outlandish or you'll be ignored isn't it?

I myself have been practically frothing at the mouth at every news item in the last day or so. I was on this very forum most of the day, googling Hasler, Toovey, Sea Eagles, free Porn every few minutes! But if nothing comes up my emotions start to subside and I'm feeling a little bit better, but I know I'll read the papers tomorrow and I'll get angry again, probably not as angry as this morning but unless the news is about players leaving I think I can handle it.

Still happy though to have this forum to converse with Sea Eagles fans. I've disagreed with plenty but I'd still prefer having these conversations with true believers than anyone else.

Geez, whatever happened before Des and Crusher took over? Strangely, it was exactly the same back back then. Intrigue and backstabbing. We even won plenty of GFs throughout. That's what makes us stand out from the herd. We are Manly, through thick and thin, we stand out as the mightiest team in the League..

Yes a lot of people are overreacting. Des is not about to burn all his bridges at the club and destroy the hard work he has accomplished. This talk of Des taking staff and players with him is just ridiculous. Toovey will probably end up coaching and I really doubt Des will want to leave a mess for him

I hope it's true that the thought of Des taking staff and players is ridiculous because last week the thought of Des coaching the bulldogs was ridiculous.
Anyway the Des part is a done deal and who knows what's yet to come but Ill be happy to support the best team in the world through good times and bad, and I guess this is both a good and bad time so GO MANLY! 2012 awaits.
