Parra did A 40 Minute Warm Up In 39° Heat Before Getting Flogged 54-0

Baz said in the presser that they made a decision to do most of their warm-up in the sheds to avoid being drained by the heat.

While I don't deny that training in the heat would have sapped the Eels of some energy, the reality is they got massacred by our forwards and a DCE masterclass.

Parramatta Did A 40 Minute Warm Up In 39° Heat Before Getting Flogged 54-0

Playing in the 39° heat is not easy for anyone, but after being flogged 54-0 by the Manly Sea Eagles, Parramatta's decision to do a full 40 minute warm up in the heat seem's a bit foolish in hindsight.

One of the truly dumbest things I've ever heard of lol Fair dinkum - on a day like that to expend that much energy in the heat pre game. Unfathomable and fabulous rolled into one 😉

Especially when they'd had a tough game in 35 degree heat the week before.

Bull****. Try blaming Hayne instead. Losing a pre-season time trial to the coaches 12 year old son creates a contagion effect when it comes to conditioning. Why try if he’s not. Same thing yesterday. Hayne should lift them on the field. Lead the effort. Instead he wouldn’t even take a quick tap on our line.

Remember when word got out he was coming back to the Eels Parras betting odds didn't shorten..might have even got out a bit. The dood is toxic for morale and culture and quite frankly I don't think there's many clubs that would want a bar of him when he's off contract.

I heard a rumour that there were no 20min drinks breaks yesterday because parra declined the nrl's offer, and opted for an additional water boy instead. If that is true then they are a total basket case. It was hot enough just watching the game. Would have been a good gesture if the club had handed out free water to everyone standing on the hill yesterday, that weather was pretty insane

Yesterday up here in the Hunter Valley my son had a soccer game at midday (about 33 to 34 degrees) - he's 12. We took a decision to sit in the sheds. Have a light stretch, and basically as the game started walk out onto the field to play. We didn't win, but we also didn't wilt terribly in the heat.

Now if I can see that with my sons soccer team (which was 5 degrees lower), how on earth did Brad Arthur not see it with his guys who are also carrying about an extra 60kgs compared to my sons team?

Yup I looked up the weather the day before saw it was going to be hot so got up early and went for a run before the heat hit. At 9am it was already high twenties with high humidity

I was sitting in the Jane Try hoping parra would come out and do a full warmup while we stayed inside.

I couldn't believe it when they ran out at the normal warm up time.

If I was a parra player, I would've been looking across constantly waiting for Manly to come out and filthy when they came out 15-20 mins later.

I was so happy to see us do a very quick run and back in.

I think it did play a part not just physically but mentally.

Parra were gone by the 10th minute.

Well done Baz.
