I just watched a few minutes of Bryan (and Paul) in his debut game with Knights when they thrashed Penrith a few weeks ago. At first look he could be exactly what Manly needs (according to my untrained eagle eye anyway)

he doesnt look too light weight to me. Sort of same frame maybe a bit heavier and bigger than Whatmough ,and looks to be mobile. Hopefully he gets an offseason in and we can go from there

How will this be any different to Patolo? I don't know if he can add anything to FG as he hasn't been given a chance. Same with Sykes. Played well in the trials and preseason indigenous game and hasn't been seen since. And yet we gave a cooked Woodsy plenty of game time.

Our whole forward strategy seems very unusual . Karl Lawton would also have got plenty of first grade this year as well. I know cows offered him a good deal however for years we have not recruited forwards at all.

Why are we now recruiting a forward who can’t play for the rest of the season and letting JA go.

Who knows.

Remember it’s a reserve grade half ( we have plenty of them ) for a reserve grade Prop ( we need more of them ).

Neither were likely to get a first grade game again this year.

I don’t see it as a major issue.

Not strange , he’s a reserve grader , might end up a beauty but at least he’s the right age and I’d very much assume the right price.

We swapped a reserve grader for a reserve grader ( with potential ).

Its unlikely he’d have played this year anyway considering we have three already on the books who can’t get a run.
