As I'm sure the majority here are aware the NRL cut off for trades between clubs during the season has come and gone. I've been keeping track of contracts and trades for work and thought you all might be interested to see who was going where and who is locked into their clubs now that we are past June 30. Why does it have Manly Sea Eagles in brackets after Orford's name? There is no chance he will be at Manly next year.

Perhaps in a coaching role i think he is getting at

^ That's what I was thinking. I'd be surprised if it doesn't happen at some point TBH.

Cheers for the summary Captain, good read.

The manly marker for Orford is a rumour he has been offered a spot on the toyota cup's coaching staff, but there is nothing in stone and nothing officially announced

Heard(rumour) Andrew Ryan to Wests Tigers.

Mark Flanaghan to St Helens from Wests Tigers.

If we could pick up anyone Tom Humble would be my pick

Anyone else notice that it didn't say we are looking to re-sign T. Williams? Did I read that wrong?

It just says that he is off contract at the end of the year, not that he won't be resigned at during the year. Clubs can resign or extend a players contract at any time. The June 30 cut off just stops players negotiating with other teams during the final rounds of the competition.

My personal opinion is that as much as I don't like him, T-rex looks like one of Des' favourites and I'm sure they will resign him.

Just to clarify, off contract doesn't mean they are free agents being released by the club, just that their current contract expires at the end of this year.

Thanks for the tip Eagles2win, I'll fix Jack Afamasaga now. It was my error, the club name is about 7 words long in French and I incorrectly assumed it was Rugby.

June 30 deadline was lifted in 2008 or 2009 you can now trade and sell all year round.

However good list and info. Cheers

Maybe Captain has been hacking old voicemails if he still thinks the trade deadline is in force ;)

Good list though, some handy info.

I think what he is referring to is mid season transfers. You can't change clubs this season after June 30 (ala Tagatese GC to Cronulla).

Brookvale, are you suggesting that the young broncos side will not improve next year and probably also Melbourne?

I'm sick of hearing commentators praise Brisbane for their junior strength. Every team would be as strong, and not need to recruit, if they had the 2-million population that Brisbane has to choose from.

It didn't say any player that any of the clubs are looking to re-sign. Why would they single T Rex out and say whether Manly want to keep him or not?
The re-signed list was for players that had already been re-signed. There could be any number of players on the off contract list that the club still wants to re-sign.

Sorry I did mean canlt do mid season transfers post June 30 like Anthony Mitchel, Cory Paterson, Sam Tagatese did this year. I didn't make myself clear, Dan is dead right, you can still negotiate with other teams for 2012 and beyond. Sorry for the confusion.

I've also added the get out clause details for Shillington in the original post
