the only players worth keeping are jamie b , liam f , joe g , hoppa , kingy ,tim robbo , rose....

I know we are not shot in hell of actually getting him but I would love for us to land Aaron Payne. No way the Cows let him go though, especially after letting Watts leave.

Fifita, Humble & Browne all seem like they would be nice pick ups, bolster our depth in the trenches. Would like to get John Mannah as well but with Snowden leaving the Sharks would be keen on resigning him, doubt he'd want to leave anyway.

We're probably out of the Snowden sweepstakes & it's been discussed to death in another thread so I won't touch on that.

Martin Kennedy is an interesting one, didn't realise he was up for a new contract. Could be a nice buy for the right price.

Would like to sign a contract with Conn allowing us to beat him to death with a lead pipe. Other than that, nothing too interesting out there. Might be some nice buys lurking in the NYC.

As far as re-signing our guys goes I would let Cross, Seu Seu, Robbo & Dave Williams walk. Foran to only continue if he agrees to what he is current on (Which is apparently Match cheques only).

Whare did well for us and i was hoping to see plenty more of him, but very injury prone. May not be worth keeping now our captain and Matai both resigned, unless he stays on the cheap.

I reckon if we let go seuseu we should welcome back one of our own in Chad Randall, i read somewhere he is off contract at the end of 2011.

You are taking the piss aren't you?

Rad Chandall, I think we have moved on from those days!

When's Lussick off contract? They talk him up but his been in the top squad for the last two seasons without an appearance in 1st grade.

I reckon his old man would be a better signing.

I'd make a play for the following

- Martin Kennedy
- Nigel Plum
- Luke Stuart
- Aaron Payne
- Isaac De Gois (french impact hookers seem to work for us)
- Adam Blair
- Snowden
-Adam Woolnough
- Corey Parker

There are a few others and obviously those on my list depend on others in my list. I wouldn't want both De Gois and Payne, but one or the other would be good.

I don't rate our chances at getting Blair but would make first play at him.
Wolnough and Plum, I would have either of these guys, I think they would shine under Des and could probably pick them up cheap. Real bargain for your money type forwards.

It seems clear to me our recruitment needs to be in the forwards. We really need 1 really good key signing in the forwards, a prop preferably and that will just top off our team nicely.

Why do we want a hooker while Ballin is still signed ?

Impact hooker.

Exactly the same as LeStrange use to play. It added so much more spark when we used those two in tandem.

Both Payne and DeGois would add huge impact off the bench.

Not huge priority and we need forwards first, but if we have the room, it can only be worthwhile

Priority should be:

hoppa
Buhrer
oldfield ( i think he is up as well)
King
Galavao ( if he doesn't retire or go to england)
Rose
T-rex ( only if he wants to play in the forwards)
Tim Robinson
Liam Foran

the rest should be release and make a play for other forwards.

which include wolfie, kite, Grandfinal hero robertson, etc.

would like to see snowden or Luke Douglas at manly next season.

Have a look's whose off contract at the Knights.......

Korbin Simms (Ashton and Tariq's little brother) the Broncos were devastated when he left rated very highly.

So sign our kids, pick this bloke up and a marquee forward signing

Korbin Simms would be a great signing for us. Think the Knights rate him pretty highly though, don't think they'd be keen to let him go. Even gets mentioned as a potential future captain on the Newcastle website.Bennett would be well aware of his potential having been signed from the Broncos. Still, they've got 12 players coming off contract in 2012 and will struggle to keep them even with some players retiring. Big signings like Snowden and possibly Boyd will eat into the cap and despite Tinklers money they still are restricted by the salary cap.

Martin Kennedy. He has a good work ethic, a bit of mongrel and some ball skills. He's no Dave Taylor but the price may be right.

I doubt Korbin Sims would even be in the Knights top 25. If they rate him that highly with Tinklers money I can't see him leaving. Also I think this is only his first year at the Knights so how he is out of contract is beyond me?

I have seen plenty of Korbin Sims and unlike his brothers he is a cat. I wouldnt feed him let alone sign him.

Yiiiieaaaaah.....like clubs are restricted by "the salary cap".
It's like me saying I'm just about to start going through a growth spurt.

Ain't happening, and never did.

are you serious they punted him.

Josh Miller from the raiders. He has more heart and toughness than most put together. Can play any position in the forwards. Wouldnt be the dearest purchase either.
