Please explain- Salary Cap

I am so confused?

Can someone explain to me how we are close to the cap.

We let go of Matt Orford - 625k last year of this contact
Le-strange- 120-150k
Perry-200-250k
Matai- 250k
Cutherson- 120k


we only bought Joe and Ross in the forwards. We are carrying the similar team that won the premiership.

I want to know where the 1 million left over from players leaving have left.
I understand their has been upgrade to contacts but not 1million worth.

We need a new accountant if we are close to the cap.

Forans deal will be a massive difference to what he was on, I would guess a 250k upgrade

lyon, glen stewart, ballin and watmough resigned, expected bigger contracts than previous, i presume some of the cash went to players like whare, and a few young blokes who replaced them in the top 25. The cap is increasing in 2011 as well. Maybe we had a few on backended contracts as well.Orfords contract was finished so maybe the offer was a lot less than the 625 you have quoted.Hoppa was on big dollars for a young one as well from memory. As he has moved to the top 25 so has his earnings

I'm only guessing but I would think 350-400 would be close to the mark.

Then let him sign a lucrative contract in the UK. I'd prefer to see Lussick get a chance...and probably at $320k less.

I question the Broncos but all other teams have struggled with 2001 to 2004 winners coming last within the following years.

The Tigers have missed the 8 every year after their GF win.

Exactly - once you win the comp your penalised because contracts will increase for premeirship players.
