Friday Night: Homebush police have arrested Brett Kimmorley for suspected theft during the week.

Intensive interviewing by a panel of detectives falied to turn up the missing item - Manly half Matt Orford's Book of Fifth Tackle Plays and Options.

However a police spokesman reported that the circumstantial evidence from the final played at ANZ overwhelmingly supported the theft of Orford's book, after he falied to produce one decent kick or initiate a play that pressured the Parramatta defence. Investigations in the matter continue.

Kimmorely certainly went back to old habits, playing very late right at the line, which the Eels shut down pretty easily. Can only assume it was a tactic.

He wasn't the only poor player. Ennis went missing for 90% of the game and his passing from dummy half was atrocious.

It is hard to understand why the little chip kick wasn't tried by the Dogs. CW is right, it was like watching us with some of the options taken. A lot of the time they only made the 40 mt line on the 5th so I guess going for field position was the thinking. I thought he was damn tough with his tackling considering his face was caved in a few weeks ago.
